Key Features & The Story
Inspiration and Vision: The idea of owning a wedding venue wasn't ours initially. It was divinely inspired, sparking within my heart at 3:00 AM one autumn night in 2018. The question arose: why this particular property on Canyon Road? The answer, though surprising, we took to heart immediately.
Considerations: The following day, we visited the peaceful, pastoral former berry tract, then horse farm, and recognized its potential as a wedding venue for the Summit community. We then confirmed the necessary zoning with the County Land Use office.
Planning and Development: Extensive planning, including water table analyses, wetland studies, surveys, permits applied for and many, many meetings followed the initial vision. Months later, the owner's youngest daughter and her family joined the project, playing a significant role in bringing the dream to life.
Construction and Design: Construction on the main building began in June of 2024, utilizing age-old methods to highlight the beautiful fir and cedar. The building boasts:
A grand entrance portico for welcoming guests.
Glass doors and cupolas allowing ample natural light.
Well-designed groom and bridal suites.
Quiet quarters for officiants, planners, and musicians.
Integrated technology for modern convenience.
A magnificent structure that keeps guests dry and comfortable in any weather.
Additional Spaces: Beyond the main ceremony hall, guests can enjoy:
A greenhouse space across the courtyard, offering a retreat for family and friends.
A workshop adjacent to the greenhouse for those with a DIY spirit, perfect for personalizing decorations and floral arrangements.
Community Invitation: As Joy and Glory Farm nears completion, the owners invite their cherished family and friends, potential clients and vendors, and the wider community to celebrate and create meaningful memories within the space.
